private myofascial release (mfr)

Unwind what your body’s been quietly holding.

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a gentle, targeted form of bodywork that helps release tension in the fascia—the web-like connective tissue that surrounds your muscles and joints. When fascia gets tight from stress, injury, repetitive movement, or even emotional holding patterns, it can create pain, stiffness, limited mobility, and that “I feel stuck in my own body” sensation.

Our MFR Private Sessions are designed to help you soften those tight layers, restore circulation, and create space in the body—so you can move, breathe, and live with more ease.

What it helps with

MFR can support:

  • Chronic tightness and stiffness
  • Neck, shoulders, back, hips, and feet tension
  • Restricted mobility or “sticky” movement patterns
  • Recovery from workouts or repetitive strain
  • Stress-related tension and nervous system overload

What to expect

Each session is personalized and guided by one of our certified MFR instructors. You’ll be supported in a calm, cozy setting while your practitioner works with specific areas of restriction using:

  • Dense therapy balls and intentional pressure
  • Breath-guided release techniques
  • Slow, sustained holds that encourage fascia to soften and rehydrate
  • Nervous system downshifting (aka: your body finally gets the memo that it’s safe to relax)

Many clients describe it as the benefits of a massage—but deeper, slower, and longer-lasting—with a big side of “I didn’t realize I could feel this much better.”

Great add-on to yoga

MFR pairs beautifully with your practice—especially after Gentle Yoga—because it helps:

  • Improve mobility and comfort in poses
  • Reduce muscle guarding and compensations
  • Support better alignment and recovery
  • Create more freedom in the tissues (so you’re not fighting your body in class)
